Microsoft Natural Keyboard problem

How's it going?

My keyboard went insane on me; all of a sudden (while I was typing) letters kept repeating, and the pc card? (something inside the tower) kept making a lot of duh-duh-duh-duh noises, and then sometimes when I pressed on the keys itself, it'd just beep. The affect on my computer (I pulled out Notepad) was just weird letters being repeated over and over NON-STOP! (ex: 544dada;a55454;;a5a54a) and I could do nothing to stop it. Then after one point, my keyboard stopped responding to my manual typing, but it still kept repeating on its own, and the ScroLk lights kept turning on and off.

It was so weird - I don't understand it.

What could've caused this problem, and how do I fix it? Or is it time for a new keyboard? I've had it for almost 4 years, and this is the first problem I've ever had with it.

The easy answer is that you may well have a bad keyboard and, if you can try another one and it works, this would verify the culprit. The noise inside your computer was probably just a response to the keyboard buffer being full. Maybe you have a stuck key. A stuck key does not necessary look to be stuck in the down position. A four year old keyboard may have seen plenty of wear. My guess.

thanks. yea, i tried to check everywhere for a stuck key lol. and i'm purchasing a new one... it was just freaky. thanks again. ^^
