Online/Lan Gaming Setup Related Issues

I have a Desktop PC running windows XP and a Netbook running Windows 7 Ultimate.
I have Cable Internet Connection without a modem or a router directly into my Desktop PC, I use Bluetooth dongle and Open Garden Software to access internet on my Netbook and the problem is Open Garden make the internet Connection but it runs on proxy so i am not able to play LAN games like fifa,Cs etc.
Is there any ways to play LAN Games or Internet games between my Desktop PC and Netbook, Desktop PC Running Cable Internet and Netbook Running Proxy Internet on Same Network.Also if Yes Please Paste How to do it.

The best and easiest solution by far is using a router.

But that speed is so low that it's more like dialup.

Since the netbook is on 7 you could get it wired and use Virtual Router but no speed to spare for that.

A router is best.

Proxy Issue

Is there any Software that can make proxy setting work as normal internet connection so that every thing work and LAN gaming or Online gaming can be done without worrying of proxy internet.

I read the top post and saw no reason for a proxy server or setting. Here's a link on what a proxy does.

Seems to do more than what you are asking.

I noted a software title so I wonder if you are reading replies.

Just have to go ahead with proxy server if anyone know any Software that can make proxy setting work as normal internet connection so that every thing work and LAN gaming or Online gaming can be done without worrying of proxy internet.
Please let me know the way or full guide of a working Software technique.
