Network Setup

Hello,
I currently have a small office network, 1 file server 2-3 desktop pcs and 3-4 laptop pcs, 4 network printers (wired)

I have 1+16 static IP addresses.

What I want to do is to be able to give to the laptops plus any extra laptops that I might need automaticaly generated IP address, or to be able to connect with my Iphone or samsung galaxy s iii phone without assigning a specific IP address.

As of now I can not do this.

What is the best setup or how to configure my router to allow this? If I configure it to randomly give the remaining static IP addresses it does not work. And I suppose I can not configure the pool to be from 192.168.1.2 - 20 eg.

No router or DHCP supplied so a generic answer.

In all the routers I use, ALL have a config page to assign or reserve an IP for that machine.

DHCP is not "static" IP addressing but with address reservation it can help.

For your office network setup there is one solution in my mind to get your connection long lasting.Wireless Broadband Router is good choice to set up office network
