Actually this project was done before 6 years something in one of other company,that team members are not avaliable right now and no documents also.
Now that company forward to us the xml files only , we just starts to redo the project thats y.
we guys trying to know the things if any one know thats all

I don't want to repeat what XML stands for but the words in it mean something to the designer and the system and are not self-documenting.

That's why you either know, find documentation on the system or ask the other company/folk.

I've seen so many shocked by this and they can't accept it. Eventually they learn that XML is just what it is and what's in some XML file only has meaning to the apps and designers.

This seems an impossible task: redo an undocumented project that nobody knows anything about.

On the other hand: if you have the exact interface definition of a black box, you're free to design your own replacement as long as it does exactly what the old one does, so you don't need any white box knowledge.
If that basic requirement isn't met, better stop as soon as possible.
