Blocked by LACP

After connecting my DLink DFL-700 Firewall DMZ port to my DMZ switch (HP Procurve 2524) my switch event logs started reporting "Blocked by LACP". I disabled LACP for the switch port that connected to the Firewall DMZ port.
I tried setting the LACP port from passive to active but the error remained. I'm aware that the LACP (Link Aggregation Control Protocol) does not support half duplex which is not an issue here as I'm connected auto/auto 100 full duplex, although I have one port on my switch that actually connects with a power strip at 10-half duplex. I disabled LACP on that port.
What could be causing the Blocked by LACP error?
Is there a problem with disabling LACP on the port connecting all of my servers behind the DMZ to a port not supporting LACP?
