Hello. I have a Win 2003 server that only shows 3% max network usage (when looking at networking in task manager) when transferring a file to or from the server. The same file transfers at 75-80% between the workstations. I replaced the NIC and used a USB network adapter with the same outcome (3%). The switch is a gigabit switch. I switched the server ports on the switch which made no difference. Could this be a mobo issue? No other problems with the server. I can copy the file at the server between folders instantly. This is a 125mb file that takes about 6 to 7 minutes to copy from/to the server from/to a workstation. Between workstations it was about 50 seconds. Any ideas? Thanks.
