Linksys WRT160N V3 router internet connection issues
by melkicks - 3/30/11 9:15 AM
Bear with me, I am a novice, so my lingo may be off a bit. I cannot get onto the internet through my router anymore. It stopped after I was attempting to install a Linksys bridge to use with my Blu-ray. The installation was unsuccessful, and now my router has chosen to stop allowing me access to the internet. It shows that it is receiving a signal from my modem, but I cannot connect to the internet wired or wirelessly through the router. (I can get onto the internet by connecting directly to my modem).
I have tried all the usual "solutions":
"rebooting" my router by unplugging it and plugging it back in,
I have tried to reset it (which does reset the settings) and then reconfigure it,
I have downloaded and loaded the latest firmware,
and other "solutions" that I cannot think of right now with no luck.
Please say there is someone who can help, or at least tell me that it is useless to try anything else!
My router is a Linksys WRT160N V3, and is only a couple of years old
The bridge I tried to install is a Linksys WET610N
My computer runs on Windows Vista
