Mirror hard drive on network drive.

I have a desktop at work, and a laptop for travel. Our network is incredibly slow, so I much prefer to work from my local HD instead of my network drive. However, I still need these files on my laptop when I travel. Instead of using a thumbdrive to carry/transfer files, I was wondering if there was a way to mirror my local HD to my network drive, which I could then access from a VPN on my laptop.
