What router do I get?

I have been researching and cannot figure out which wireless router I should get. I have been using a Netgear WGT624 v3 wireless G for the past few years with no complaints. I am wating to upgrade to a wireless N connection in hopes of better speed. My internet connection is 15 mbps. I am looking to network two laptops (pc and mac), a wireless printer, nintendo wii, and hardline to my Directv DVR. Any and all advice is appreciated and welcomed. From what I found I'm leaning towards a Netgear WNDR37AV.

N won't get you more internet speed

but can get you more speed on a LAN. Your wireless G is still well ahead of your broadband speed.

but would I get more speed just from the router being faster itself? BY this I mean like a quicker processing of the wifi signal.

I have seen some small throughput differences in routers I've owned or tested but the difference is generally negligible. Wireless does have some additional overhead that wired does not, however, but the "n" standard won't be the determining factor as to which might slightly outperform the other.

if you need the speed of wired on wireless, you can look at triple band routers in N category, this way, you get speed without the overhead, i'm using one and it works good, even for streaming media
