Can't download WGR614 v6 netgear router update.

Whenever I try to download it it says "This file does no have a program associated with this preforming action" Create an association in the Set associations panel. like wth can anyone help?

Read http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/790 and you do NOT open this file. It's just saved to your hard disk for later use.

i think there is no application on your computer that could open the firmware that you downloaded it needs to uploaded on the router to upgrade its firmware.
