Networking & wireless forum: Cannot connect to shared printer from Windows 7

Hello,

I am trying to connect to my win 7 laptop to my shared printer with is connected to my home desktop (Windows XP). Now, I have a laptop (Win XP) that can connect to my shared printer after I installed drivers and went through printer adding wizzard. As for my new laptop with win 7, I made sure my workgroup name was same as my desktop (if that matter) but when i tried to add a printer to my win 7 laptop, my laptop does recognize the shared printer over the network but when i press next, I get this error: "Windows cannot connect to the printer. The print processor does not exist."

I have check in advance sharing option that my new laptop with win 7 detects connects to shared files and printer basically, I turned everything on.

I have no idea what is going on. Can some one help me out please. Also, please give me step by step direction because i am not that bright when it comes to computer and networking. if you ask questions like make sure you have ________ (what ever this may be) turned on, then please give me direction to check if that "thing" is turned on or off.
