Belkin Wireless G notebook card

I had to reinstall the operating system on one of my laptops. It is running XP Pro. I now want to reconnect my belkin wireless g notebook card. I longer have the installation disk (ugh), so I went to belkin's support site. They have a whole list of drivers for this model number. I flipped my card over and it indicates it is ver. 4001, so I tried the version 4xxx driver. When I plug in my card as prompted at setup, it does not register. I feel pretty confident there is nothing wrong with the card itself. It has been very delicately used and very infrequently. I tried some of the other driver versions and they seemed to perhaps recognize the card but once the network utility screen loaded it showed no detectable networks. And I have a wireless running through the house that is just fine. I have loked through belkin literature without much luck. Is there some other pathway I should take to get this laptop up on the wireless again? Help!
