USB Print Server Cnet CNP-102U setup fail Windows XP Home PC

I am trying to install CNP-102U on my Windows XP home PC to enable wireless access to home printer. I have wireless broadband via D-Link DSL router and Belkin wireless router with no other PC's on home network. Installation instructions are insufficient for me to determine all I need to do. I am not technical - do I need to use DHCP to allocate an IP address to the print server or do I need to change the IP address manually? If manual what IP address do I use and where do i find it? If I use DHCP I get error message that segment of print server is different from my PC. The "easy" setup won't go any further at that point. Please help? All is plugged in correctly and powered up - all green lights.
