Might I recommend a printer?

Since you haven't actually purchased the printer yet, I will recommend to you the HP Photosmart C6180 All-in-One. This printer has ethernet, wireless, and bluetooth for your networking needs. I would highly recommend networking your printer through the ROUTER so that all computers connected to the router will be able to print. You can do Wireless to Wireless Router or Ethernet to Wireless Router or Ethernet to Router, whatever you have. I have mine setup as Ethernet to Wireless Router so that both my Desktop, connected through ethernet and my laptop, connected through wireless, can use the printer. The driver CD that comes included with the printer is straightforward, so there is no need to monkey around with the settings. The CDs are Color-labeled so that you know which CD to use.
The reason I chose a 6100 series printer vs the 7100 series is because of price, and the problems I've read about the 7100 series. Though, since I've never used one, I don't know if they are good or not. I can only give you a testimony on the C6180. Other features include 6-color ink system which produces approximately double the pages, per cartridge, compared to the Canon MP830, which I used to own. Cartridges are cheaper when you buy in pack, about half the price of Canon. It has Printer-Copier-Scanner-Fax features. The Fax is fully-functional, unlike the Canon. I set the fax to answer from the answering machine, so once the C6180 hears the fax tone being played through the answering machine, it will pick up and print out the fax. It supports direct camera or direct memory card printing. It has its own small LCD to preview pictures. Oh yeah, it cleans itself after the printing job is done, so there is NO wait time when printing.
So there you have it, get this printer. I am not putting down Canon in any way except for its Fax(partially functional) and networking(NONE!) features. I recommend Canons for non-networked computers. But for everything else (price, fax, and networking), I recommend HP C6180. Available at Circuit City.
