Hardwire and wireless network

I have a windows XP desktop and a Windows XP laptop. I have a wireless card in the laptop. I have them both hardwired to a Windows G broadband router. The laptop will also run wireless, but I can't share files or printers when the laptop is wireless.

When I setup this network, I setup the local network (hardwired) with one workgroup name, but the wireless network has a different (SSID) name. Do they both connections have to have the same workgroup/SSID name in order to share printers and files whether the laptop is wireless or hardwired.
