Virus inside router ?

I owned a linksy wireless router model wrt54g and connected with a pronlink wireless adapter.
Recently i keep disconecting as soon as my AVG anti virus detected a virus but when i try to heal the virus it cant be done cause the virus is inside the network router.
So any idea and how to remove virus inside the router?

lifeform residing in the box, I would say a virus living there is not the problem. Try using Safe Mode with Networking to run an online scan with Housecall and/or Ewido.
