Who told you this story? Are you limiting yourself to some OS or size drive?

Something's missing from your question. And let me part with a partition tool I can do what I please with.

And let me add one more thing. There is some story going around that you can safeguard your files by putting them on another partition. That's sadly untrue and we have too many users asking how to get their files back.

I bought a WD Green 2T and a Samsung EcoGreen 2T, both are 5400rpm and 3/Gs, last June before the price going up caused by the flooding in Thailand. I found that they are not support basic partition and only dynamic partition is available shown in "Disk Management."

I thought that it was no big deal at the moment but actually it is. The Windows Explorer almost crushes every time when it is open for a few minutes or more.

That is, the Explorer crash. I think you were asking questions about SFS or such but forgive but it appears you need more time to get into Windows and the repair and care of this OS.

We know Explorer does crash on corrupt video and photos and there is no sign MSFT will cure that issue. I'm unsure if you knew that.
