Seagate External Hard drive not formatted

Stupidly, I deleted both formats on my external hard drive, only meaning to delete the mac format.

Is there a simple way to add a format onto my external?

(I tried to go through some things in device manager and look up some hints online, but all I could find online was "BUY ME!!!!")

Seagate freeagent go 320 gb

Disk managment

When I try to use disk management it comes up, but I am not able to do anything with it. I have tried to initialize it, format it, partition it, etc.

it says:

(for the seagate)
Disc 1
unknown 298.09gb
298.09gb Healthy (GPT Protective Partition)
not initialized

(for my internal)
Disc 0 (C:)
Basic 149.04gb NTFS
149.04gb Healthy (System)
online

This is where I use GPARTED

GPARTED, found with google is a small LiveCD that you can delete the GPT partition on the Seagate to wipe it clean.

I think this is safer than a disk wipe app.

could use the Seagate software called 'Seatools' that would wipe the drive and then follow up with disk management to create and format the new partition(s).
