Hi. I have two old hard drives that are both PATA, from what I understand, as they connect to the motherboard with a long, flat gray wire and another smaller, plastic, white plug with 4 holes. I would not have been even making this thread if not for the fact that the computer they were connected to died out. Specifically, the power supply died.
So, in the hopes of not needing to replace the power supply to do this, is there a way I can back up the drives myself without having to ask for help from a computer repair shop to clone it? Is there perhaps some peripheral to connect them through a USB port or something?
I have no other way of connecting them as the computer I have no does not support PATA (only SATA), so I'm kind of in a bind here. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
