Can't find files on new external hard drive. Help!

Old desktop died. Purchased a hard drive enclosure to salvage my photo/music/document files. Hooked it up to my laptop, yet can't find my files. I see a lot of folders that I recognize, but not "My Documents". All I know how to do is use the "search" function within Windows. Help!!

you mean that you have copy the file to the new drive, but when you hook the hard drive to your new laptop, but there is no files on it? are you sure you copy the files on it?
