NTFS and Flash drives

I want to transfer files of 5Gb+ to my 32Gb flash drive but my flash drive is formatted in FAT32 and therefore will only allow a max. of 4Gb. I tried formatting it to NTFS using Windows XP Pro but the flash drive will not allow me. Is there a way around this or is there a flash drive of 32Gb or more that can or is formatted to NTFS?

Microsoft recently issued a patch I saw fly by to support 32GB Flash drives on Windows 7. You need to see if they issued one for XP.

NTSF formatting of flash drive.

Thanks for the reply Bob.
I did a search for an Xp patch but did not find anything, however I came across a site which explained how to set up XP to format in NTSF and I tried that and although it initially looked to be formatting my flash drive, I eventually got a message saying it was unable to complete the format.
I will keep trying and once again thanks for the reply.

Because XP may not have got it. You are asking for an OS level fix yet we know this old OS is failing in areas like this, SATA drives and more.

I strongly suggest you move to a smaller flash drive or consider some small USB HARD DRIVE.

format it by another partition software

By default, Windows may not format removable drive to NTFS file system.
You can use other partition software like diskgenius(http://www.dgisok.com). It works well.
