Most of my primary hard drive is taken up by software. I am using a laptop, and it came with a 120GB HD, and 42.8 GB of that is taken up by programs, and 26.4 is program data. Theese Programs include Macromedia Studio 8, Adobe Web Premium CS4, Microsoft Flight Simulator X, MS Office 2003 and 2007, and lots of other games, mostly on steam. I have spent over 500 on software too. My primary hard drive also has vista on it, and I have 36.8GB left. This used to also be used for my personal files, but recently, I have been running out of space, so I got a 160GB external drive, and now C drive is only used for system and software, all my personal files are on F drive (external) which take up 18GB, 1.64GB is all my savefiles from macromedia and adobe products, 1GB is pictures, 2.42 is video, 1GB downloads, 3.4GB is itunes music, videos, and apps, and some other stuff. There is also another small partition of C drive (D drive) which is a recovery partition, which is just over 5GB.
