Adaptec 2410SA SATA RAID firmware update error

by diablonet - 3/22/08 4:59 PM

Hello, I bought an Adaptec 2410SA SATA RAID on ebay, and I tried to update the firmware (using the included tool for flashing AFU.EXE) to the latest one but during the update process.

-The actual firmware is v4.1-0 Build 7235
-The firmware I am trying to use is
Adaptec Serial ATA 2410SA firmware version b8209
Filename: 2410sa_fw_b8209.exe
Date: 19 Dec 2006
Size: 1.0 MB
Language: English US

I get the following error before the update process

Flash File's OEM Type(0x10) does not match Controller's OEM Type(0x60)

What can be wrong? I downloaded the update from Adaptec.com

Thank you in advice and greetings from Mexico
