On my Lenovo T60 Laptop I had SafeGuard Easy installed. I lost my password and then I had to reformat hard drive using Ultimate Boot CD(UBCD). And then I tried to install Windows XP Professional. I'm having a problem getting Windows XP to detect my installed Hard Drive.
- The hard disk drive shows up in BIOS. This is 60 GB drive.
The make is HITACHI.
- But when I want to install windows, it says my hard drive (SATA) is
- So I found out that I need to press F6 at the start, to load my Sata
hard drive drivers from a disk. My Windows XP CD has no drivers to
control the SATA hard drive.
- I reformatted SATA drive by attaching it to another laptop using a
USB connector and then also tried to install Win XP, but Xp could
not recognize the drive.
IMPORTANT: Now when I try to boot the laptop using UBCD and go to Hard Disk Tool, it is not able to find the hard disk.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
