How can i reset my computer so i can re install my operating system? I used a dvd that was missing some info to install an updated operating system and now my computer wont start at all and it wont let me start a new install, i just keep getting the message your computer restarted unexpectadly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. Click ok to restart the computer and then restart the installation. That is the message i get but when i click ok it just tries to boot by giving me the option of choosing which operating system to use and goes back to the error screen i have just described! I can enter the BIOS Setup but there is nothing in that that helps and i dont know any key combinations that can help me, i just want to re install my windows 8 operating system that was working ok before i tried to upgrade to a different version of windows 8. Does anybody know how to re format my c drive so i can restart my computer, i dont mind losing all the info and files on my c drive now if it means i can start over and actually use my computer!! I have moved my dvd drive to the top of the boot options in the BIOS but it is not booting from the disc!! Please help me, Somebody?????
