Graphic card help

Hi i have a geforce 8600gt graphics card in my pc its has hdmi output but how do i get hd output ?

my tv is a 19 inch hd ready

iv connected a vga cable to the dvi adapter and the other end of the vga cable to the hd tv but getting no hd output

what am i doing wrong ?

do i have buy another adapter and which one thank you

vga is not hd

Vga won't transmit hd signal, you'd need dvi or hdmi cable to both units.

Yup. VGA is not HD.

You can find adapters but you've adapted nothing that will work. VGA is an analog video and you used some adapters that did nothing to convert it to digital DVI.

hi thanks for the help i bought the dvi to hdmi adapter i ran tv wizard on control pannel of the video card tryed all the hd resolutions but the display is blurry on all no way near high definition but the vga display is fine as before ????

it works but im not getting hd resolution and cant see all my backgroung edges and it blurry

VGA being an analog signal being sent to a digital connection will get fuzzy. Sorry if I was unclear.
