Okay so every once in a while I will come into my room and my computer is asleep and when I wake it back up (wiggle the mouse, click a button etc.) the computer usually gets moving again all normally just like everybody else's computer. But sometimes, as a recent development, my computer has been acting weird. When I go to wake up my computer the computer itself starts to run, the lights turn on and the fans move but the monitor, mouse and keyboard do not function. I know that the monitor has power but for some reason it just doesn't receive a signal from my computer. Also the speaker makes a faint beat. So this usually goes on for a couple of minutes and eventually my machine will restart itself randomly. I am very annoyed when this happens, mostly because I don't know why it is happening. Also I am a bit scared of this. Why is my computer doing this and what can I do to fix it?

It appears there is nothing wrong with your PC. You expect it to act otherwise, but it really is OK. The taking of several minutes to come back is normal. Think of it in the difference of taking a nap vs. sleep. It's just that much more to do for the PC when it has everything to restart again. This is the difference of sleep and hibernate modes and there's nothing you can do about that really makes a difference. If you start to fiddle with setting you *may* cause issues. After all, this is only minutes here AND the PC does everything else OK? correct.
