Video Card upgrade

I bought a cheaper computer (Emachines EL 1358G) from Wal-Mart and found out it only has a VGA out.........is there anyway to upgrade the video card. It only has 220W out. I don't really do any gaming on it but watch videos and kind of want a DVI or HDMI output, but then again would a DVI or HDMI out look any better on this PC?

Your PSU is only 220W will on its own be a limiting factor not only for the video card but anything added later. Basic video like the Raedon 5450 should do quite well or similar. It's not a power hungry card and comes in various flavors to fit most PCs. You should check your PC to see if it accepts an added video card(PCI-e slot) vs the video port if build-in. I find this video card a great "go to" card for many users that aren't huge gamers(but basic) but pretty much handles everything else to include decent ram and video port connections. Of course, you're open to other video cards.

That 220w psu is the limiter.

You'll also need a low profile card for that small case.

Something like this "should?' work.

It's only 19w extra so the psu "should?" be able to handle it.
