How to install microsoft's service pack one on my computer

I have a gateway model# SX2801 PC, running Microsoft's 64bit windows 7, and have been trying for months to install important Microsoft updates on this computer. I have tried every way suggested by Microsoft to install the updates (service pack #1 and a number of security upgrades) but can n o t install this software . Has anyone else had this problem with Gateway's SX 2801 PC and, if so, is their a solution to my problem?

Given such slim details it could be some antivirus protection or an OS damaged by malware or register cleaners.

The story is too slim to begin looking at possible causes. Please keep writing.
