If your PC is doing everything you expected of it, leave the bios alone. When you enter a new variable such a new install/device of some sort, it may require a bios update in order to best handle it. However, since many bios updates no longer provide details on what they correct, it's a crap shoot but may offer details. At the same time, if you had your PC for some time, it maybe worthwhile to update in order to be at the latest level.

FYI- Bios updates have gotten easier to do as you may have noticed. However, this is a serious procedure and if it falters, you've created a doorstop, so beware. Review any instructions and understand what is expected.

While technically yes; BIOS updating is serious stuff, most motherboard manufacturers (since about 5 years ago) have included in the BIOS itself an "Easy Flash Utility" - allowing the user to update the BIOS via a file contained on a flash drive (FAT32 file), thus, eliminating the "doorstop".

I would save the current BIOS to a file (in Documents for example); download the most recent BIOS from Gigabyte and add this ROM file to same folder as the current, then transfer both to a flashdrive.

When you're ready to flash the new BIOS; you can either use the utility from within BIOS itself, or use their handy BIOS Update feature from within Windows.

I checked Gigabyte website, no need to update BIOS. Yes, Gigabyte provide some detail to the update and after reading that, i don't see any need.

I killed a board few years ago by using wrong bios update, it was al-cheapo board (Biostar) so no protection from idiots like me.
Some Gigabyte boards (i think mostly Intel based) offer Dual-Bios that allows to recover in case of Bios update failure.
Your board do not contain that technology so if update fails, the board is gone.
Warranty will not cover that.

To paraphrase Nike: Don't do it.
