CPU will not run

Hello,

My computer quit working. It appeared to be the power supply and I replaced it. Still would not work. If I disconnect the power connection to the CPU, the other computer will power up. Is it my motherboard or my CPU? Is there a way I can determine this? Thanks for the help.

For example we all know the famous Athlon exposed core issue. If you forgot, here's the video.

You can see now why details matter. If your machine had this famous model, I could give the nod to the CPU.
