Monitor screen remains blank light flashes green

My monitor all at once will not display and the green power light flashes green. Does this mean it is standby mode, if so how do I sort when I do not have a screen

I swap displays with another PC to see where the fault lies. Displays are non-repairable items for the prices the repair shops charge.

Used two other monitors on the computer, both worked OK. Put the faulty one on my computer, did not work.
In case you are puzzled it is not my equipment that is faulty, a mates. I also have a dell desktop and a dell laptop. No trouble with either for many years.

The thing is, if you are into repair you know what to do next.

Even my system is showing the same effect. monitor is showing green light but blank screen. what i do is i turn on the CPU no matter it shows the blank screen and then after CPU is on, i unplug the power plug of monitor and plug it again(repeat each time i get a blank screen with green light).I get my original screen back. It worked for me quite a lot of times. even relying on it now also. Its a problem with the monitor not with the CPU or any bios or other. Problem persists till we buy a new one.
