Video Capture on PC

Hello all, I'm new to the forums and I had a question about video capturing/capture cards for PC.

Basically, I want to record console video games to my PC. I've seen like 100 different ways of doing this, and have even tried some myself. (Like easy cap...ugh).

One of my friends recommends a DVD recorder, but those are about the price of a PC capture card is now! So what would be the best idea? An actual PC capture card, a dvd recorder, or something like Dazzle?

If you have any specific cards or products, that would also be helpful. My board is ASUS PK5-E, I have an Nvidia 8800GT, and I'm running windos Vista 64 bit. Any input is appreciated!

Thanks for the reply, however I have an Easycap and it isn't so...easy for me to use. I guess I'm looking for something a step up from that. It doesn't have to be super cheap, but something around $100 or less would be best. (Some DVD recorders are like 150+, why!? lol)

It's easy, just use some screen recorder can help you capture PC video, and it also can help you save the recordings as standard video format file.
