Emachines system recover disk freezes

My emachines T6414 froze several weeks ago and I have tried unsuccessfully to revive it. I tried system restore and then moved on to try to use the system recovery disk. When I try to use it, it gives the message "Preparing emachines sytem recovery options" and a bar code on the bottom of the screen eventually becomes solid white. The screen then shows the message "powered by PC Angel System recovery" and then the screen freezes and nothing happens.
I have removed my hard drive, hooked it up to another emachines and successfully used the system recovery disk. I've also tried a different CD drive on the "broken" pc to see if the original CD drive was damaged and the system recovery disk still doesn't work. I don't know what to try next.
