Try microsoft's free antispyware program.. You can download it at microsoft's website..

I've had good luck so far with the free AdAware. The free version won't prevent them, but it will remove the spyware. I believe you can purchase AdAware Plus complete version that prevents the buggers from installing in the first place. A lot of people also use Spybot Search and Destroy.

There is also a free prevention program I use called Spyware Blaster. Since I installed it, AdAware rarely finds anything of consequence to remove.
