Help with wireless internet on Linux?

Last night I was using my wireless internet on my ipod when all of a sudden it just stopped working. I can see the internet of my wireless on my connections but whenever I try to connect it won't work and my router is all good except for the wireless is not lit up. I checked to make sure all of the cords are plugged in and don't know what else to do.

What's Linux got to do with the router and iPod?
Add details so folk can give some ideas such as "On a Netgear 3800, you can turn the wireless on/off with the button on the front."

You're talking about Linux in your subject line and about iPod in the post. Alas, iPods as you buy them come with iOS, not with Linux. So if you installed that yourself, your fully on your own.

Now your write that the LED that shows that wireless on your router is on is not lit up. That makes me think that it's not on. So better check the user manual of that router and see how to turn it on. I'd start with switching off and switching on again after a minute. That sometimes helps.

The final test is using your Linux/iPod on a public hotspot to see if it works there. And to use another device (say, any laptop or any phone or tablet or TV or DVD-player with WiFi) on your router to see if that works. Then you'll know what to repair or replace.
