d-link dir655 problems

Have two computers utilizing this router and continually receive the message that there is a conflict of ip addresses and get disconnected. It's happening too frequently for comfort. Have tried a number of things including ipconfigure/release - turning off both router and modem and left overnight, and nothing seems to work. Then I tried to access my d-link itself and cannot get in because of the Admin password - router says leave it blank but it's not and I've tried resetting the router but nothing happens there. Can anyone help. I understood that the router should assign two different addresses and until this happens I will continually be getting disconnected. Help! Help! Help!

Also ... I have just discovered I have a third computer utilizing my router but it's not authorized and I have a password, somehow this person has picked up my password to utilize it. What can I do about it - again I'm viewing this as a user and cannot do anything unless I can get in as admin.

I can't tell what reset you used.

If you reset it to factory defaults it's a race between you and the other person to log in and lock out unauthorized access.

If it can't be reset, then that's sad since you'll need a new router.
