Wireless Router needs reset many times a day

Hi,

This is more prevalent since I got a new Samsung Note 10.9 tablet. I do not know if it is due to the number of devices I connect or not. I use a wired desktop, wireless Directv, wireless laptop, wireless PS3, wireless Wii, 2 Phones and now my tablet. Rarely are all on at once, but I typically run into a problem when I turn on my PS3, and my new phone typically has trouble connecting when I attempt to connect with it.

My Router is a good one by Linksys, WRT330N gigabit gaming router with wireless N.

This issue has been alot worse since I got my new tablet, but the PS3 has always given me problems.

Is it in the settings, or do I need to get a new router?

I looked into it and found folk reporting to roll back the firmware version. Fixed mine and later we found ourselves doing this to other routers.

It's not settings from what I can tell.

Firmware is original

I am using the original firmware dated 2007. I searched for new firmware on the linksys site and there are no updates that I could see.

I know this is a really good router, but I have had it a few years, and I am thinking of just upgrading to one of the new 802.11AC router lines. Researching it now to see if it will support all my devices even if they are not 802.11ac like smart phones and tablets and PS3 and such.

Kinda hoped it was in the settings, either with my router or my PS3, but I just am not tech savvy enough to figure it out.

Ahh, that's why I replaced my old router.

It was a good stable router but no updates and newer laptops would cause it to lock up so it had to go.

If it was settings you've had it long enough to figure out what settings work or not.
