Hi. I have a Router Hitron and an extender Cisco re1000. Both have (naturaly) the same SSID, but on the inSSIDer app, they appear in two differeent graphic lines and eventualy in two different channels. Is this the usual way?

It's not just by IP or SSID. That's why I wrote to think about the MAC address.
Your first question is pretty simple to see why. Your next question is a new discussion and I don't see much detail to work with. It could be "number of bars" = quality or "slow". I can't tell which.

Try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC_address
It's in those packets that fly around so a packet can have that information and bingo, you know it's not from the same device.
I had hoped to avoid tutorials by noting what I would use to sniff out it's on another connection.

It was probably my poor English that makes you think that. Sorry.
The question is that I don't have enough knowledge not even to put my question clearly. Again, I will try to look around and start to organize my own doubts.
