Adapters to make any computer Miracast compatible?

So it seems like there will be a big push (or maybe just a push) to get users to adopt Miracast as the universal display mirroring service/technique/whatever.

My question is, has anyone heard of anyone producing some kind of adapter or dongle that will make normally non-compliant laptops compatible with Miracast? I really want to use this technology, but I don't want to have to wait until I get around to replacing a laptop to be able to us it.

Other question is, would such an adapter even be possible?

As I read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miracast it's a proprietary system where "they" decide what device can be accepted or not. It is not an open system so your questions are best put to them.
