Turn wireless G USB network adapter into wi-fi hotspot

so a friend of mine is having trouble setting up her router and I thought a usb adapter would be a better and easier solution to getting Wi-Fi in her apartment. I realized I had an old Linksys compact wireless G usb adapter, I was wondering if there was a way to convert it into a usb wi-fi enabler so I can use the computer's wired connection as a wireless signal for other devices to connect to (ps3, cell, 3ds). the model number of the Linksys wireless adapter is: WUDB54GC version 3.0. she is running under vista while I'm on windows 7. I don't have drivers for the linkysys adapter (I use a wired conenction so I have no need for it, also have built in wifi).
