Big help please?
My current situation is that I live in a shared house. I run my Laptop and Xbox360 off the landlords internet (with permission).
Every 15mins or so, the internet will disconnect or lag me out of the gaming session. I do the usual test network/reset router by switching off power for at least 30secs then on again, but the NAT settings stay on moderate. The laptop and Xbox360 are running off wireless and the internet provider is TalkTalk (UK).
My landlord says its because of the area (Cornwall is rather hilly and only 2 weeks ago, Fibre optic was installed in the county).
Any help would be greatly appreciated as it can get frustrating with constant lag and disconnections!

I dont have an ethernet cable long enough. But it does it to everything on wireless. My own internet connection? Can you get more than one connection on one telephone line?
Then gaming and such may be troublesome.

If there's a lesson that repeats, gamers learn to hate WiFi. If you are lucky to have your own WiFi and can get close then interference is reduced but not altogether.
Your setup may be OK for moderate web use but a gamer will fume.
As to the phone line, it's usually too slow for today's games let alone sharing.
