My acer doesn't have any wireless connection after upgrade?

I recently upgraded my Acer Aspire T180 from vista to windows7, and in the process i reformatted my hard drive, which deleted some important drivers, especially my network adapter drivers. I've searched and searched for drivers i can use and none of them seem to help. Also, my acer was connected via wireless connection to this computer i'm using right now, which is using a Linksys router. My acer now can't even detect any wifi at all, plus my other devices can connect to wifi. So it's not the network, it's the computer. ALSO, in Device Manager under "Other Devices", there is a yellow triangle by "Network Controller". Can someone put me in the right direction? It would be greatly appreciated.

But I can't find where you installed the WiFi drivers from Acer after windows was installed.

I'm encountering a lot of new folk that don't know that Windows doesn't include these drivers and some don't know that some helper apps may be require (from Acer in this case) to turn on the WiFi.

Check the web pages on your machine at acer to see if they have the Windows 7 drivers and helper applications.

acer help w/ wireless issue

a window automatically pops up from boot saying "Windows has found a new device. Download and install a specific driver to enable the device" and then it says "Device ID: PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_0301&SUBSYS_00551737&REV_00"

what exactly does this mean?

also, is it possible for me to download a driver on to this computer (with the router and modem) and use a flash drive to import it on my acer and then install?

You should be able to download the drivers onto your USB-stick on another PC and install from there. But wouldn't it be just as easy to try to connect wired via an Ethernet cable on the laptop?

well i wish, but my acer is a desktop, not a laptop, and it is on the complete other side of the house. and the drivers i have tried to install on my acer havent seemed to be doing anything

It appears you are new to installing windows. Drivers are not included so back to Acer to find them.

As to using a flash drive yes. But that's a new word to me. "Import" it? I usually follow the install procedure from Acer.
