I recently upgraded from 7mbps DOWN and 1 UP Bec of one part of my apt not getting a sufficient signal so I UPGRADED too Below:

My product : Motorola SURFboard P/N SBG6580

ISP: Time Warner's RoadR BOOST 20 mbps Down and 4 Up.

Installation dude ran cable box directly to the modem and Had him get rid of all splitter's that Direct TV was using for PPV.

So now I have this blazing fast Interned in the room that the SURFBoard modem is in, However the moment you leave that room, You feel massive loss of Signal Juice which is to large to ignore for the price that I am paying every month!!
They sent another Tech down after I ranted at them, His explanation made perfect sense; The walls of my APT are Made of a plaster like material which kills off a Good chunk of signal .

He suggested that I buy a "Plug In" , Not sure what that is, But I would greatly appreciate any suggestion(s) that would help Solve my Petty yet so disturbing issue.

Thanks a million for taking yout time out and reading this & please excuse my ranting....

ANY Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

When you say loss of signal juice, do you mean the strength level or do you mean the download speed?

I lose both ; Down to 2/3 bars via my notebook Icon, And when doing the Speed Test It drops from 20mbps to approx 7mbps.!!

Nope , When I am in the same room as source I get phenomenal results, ire when I leave the room the signal tweed drastically due to the highly fortified materials used in building my apt.
What I'm looking for is a simple product that will allow me to extend the phenomenal 20mbps that I receive @ 2ft away again @ 20 ft away.
