Hi:
I have a Toshiba Satellite L775-S7226 laptop, AMD A6-3400M APU, 6.00 GB RAM, 64 bit OS, running Windows 7, that refuses to stay online when using my wireless internet connection. It does fine when using an Ethernet connection.
When I use wireless to get online, no matter whether I use Internet Explorer, Firefox, or AOL, the system will tell me I don't have an internet connection, even though my icon shows it being available. When I finally manage to get online, after connecting and disconnecting, and rebooting several times, I'll manage to get online, but a few minutes later it boots me off again. Sometimes when it does that, it shows my system as being active, but then other times, the network information and sharing center shows that little X between my "home" and the Internet. During all this, my computer will show 5 or more local internet connections, occasionally it will show even more. Only one of them is not password protected, my immediate next door neighbor.
The constant booting off is a pain when trying to search for things, or when writing an email. If I download something like a movie, the computer will stay online while doing it, and I can surf to my heart's content. If I wanted to download a movie or TV show every time I use my computer, I guess that would be the way to go, but I don't want to have to do that.
I have another Toshiba laptop, different model, that doesn't have this problem, so it has to be this model.
I have a Linksys E2500 router and a Zoom 3.0 modem, series 1094.
Any help anyone can give me will be appreciated.
Thank-you.
