That's one of the model lines I see with failing WiFi cards. We remove the card and never replace it then use some USB WiFi since the model is pretty old in most cases for the remaining life of the laptop.

There are smaller nano USB devices that I haven't tried but for under 8 bucks I use this a lot.

Sure, do that. But here at the office we find that even if it seems to fix it, they only come back with it failing again later. So in my view, it's something for those that won't get the 8 buck fix.

Thank you I disabled the WIFI card and plugged in a wireless internet usb adapter and tata. Five bars (never had that before) and have not been booted in 90 mins. Thank you folks for the advise.
