Wireless Internet forum: Router Doesn't Recognize Modem

Try the usual method.

1. Turn the power off to the modem.
2. Move the cable from one thing to another.
3. Power up the modem then the next thing giving the modem enough time to start up.

And what is this "output of the router"?

Normally we use this to the WAN port, not the LAN ports. Since this model is not at http://www.ubeeinteractive.com/index.php/productsae you'll have to share the model and the settings.

For example in BRIDGE MODE we have to configure the Belkin router to do all the login work.

So folk forget the setup and I can't tell which mode your Belkin is in. Is it set for DSL/PPPoE or Cable?

From what I can glean, you want to use the CABLE MODEM and not any PPPoE/DSL setup.

Remember that it worked before has nothing to do with today's problem. Many folk doggedly keep pointing that out and lose time and progress to fixing it.

Still looking for details. You didn't supply a link for the dsl modem.

It appears you need to call them and have them set it up. IT WORKED BEFORE doesn't mean much here as one glitch and the settings are gone and need to be redone.

This is all volunteer. Imagine if you stopped to help change a tire and you asked for where the spare was and they wouldn't tell you? You'd have to be as polite as you can and move on.

I'm not sure if you will be upset but I'll ask. Why are the details hard to share?

I set it to factory defaults, and turned of modem and router, and it worked. Thx!
