IP Pool starting address....

I connect to the Internet via an ADSL modem/router ZyXEL ADSL2 P-660R, in router mode. At the set up page Network>LAN>DHCP setup, what should I put in for IP Pool starting address ? Pool size ? And at the next section, what are the DNS servers ? I have already put in the numbers provided by my ISP at the Local Network adaptor... [BTW, the OS is XP Pro]. Thanks.

You shouldn't have to do that . . .

The router IP address range is built in with a default address and range. Normally it is either:

192.168.1.1 - 199 (Linksys)

192.168.0.1 - 199 (D-link)

Or, in general:

192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255

Is there not a general default setup?

if you needed to assign a static addresses to any device such as a network printer, NAS, etc. But, with 250+ to play with, you won't have a problem running out of available addresses on a home network.
