Wireless router help

I currently have a Belkin N Wireless Router (Belkin part number F5D8236-4) I am currently no very happy with it for a verity of reasons. One of the main reasons is that my laptop keeps getting bumped from it. I am looking to upgrade or replace it. What should it get? My apartment is about 2 thousand square feet, I will be using it wireless for my laptop and x-box 360 (the new one) and also wired for a desktop PC, streaming music and videos, and web surfing. I will not be printing or streaming to a media center or TV. What router should I get? I am also on a budget of about $100USD.

The Cnet Networking forum gets this request a lot. We developed a stock set that can help stop some drops so here's the short version.

1. Latest router firmware.
2. Stock router settings.
3. WPA or if your gear supports it, WPA2.

Do not hide the SSID or make any other changes.
