Wireless Internet forum: Best Wireless Network Setup for Fraternity House

Hi,

I'm thinking about setting up a new wireless network in my fraternity house and need some advice on the best way to go about it. We have about 30 guys living in the house, many with multiple computers, gaming consoles, and iPod/iPhones.

A typical network with a single password is not an option because word spreads far too easily and we'd soon have everyone on the block tapping into our network. We currently use the MAC address filter on our wireless router to restrict access to the network, but its getting more and more difficult to squeeze everyone in to the limited number of spots available.

Would the best option simply be to find a router that accommodates more users, or is there some way to setup the network so users are given an account that they must use to log-on to the network? The interface for adding/removing MAC addresses can get quite tedious with our current router, especially when we have guys moving in and out year-round. It would also be nice to have a system in place for guests who visit the house, as we have members who don't live in the house who stop by occasionally and need internet access.

On a related note, what's the best way to spread the wireless signal throughout the house? Is it as simple as purchasing some sort of bridge that recieves the current signal and them amplifies it? If so, do any of these bridges have a USB port which would allow us to add wireless printing to the network? Our main router and cable line are located upstairs and across the house from our study room, where the printer would need to be located.
